Our firm has been supporting accessibility and fire and life safety across all of the regional Portland Community College Campuses for over a decade. For the Rock Creek Campuses' sculpture studio, our dust hazard analysis experts reviewed the feasibility of a proposed dust collection system and found an affordable, easy alternative by adding two portable shop vacuums to be used during the staff's already diligent cleaning processes.
The solution eliminated dust from the room for a tenth of the cost and still effectively keeps staff and students from breathing in too much dust released during the woodworking process.
