Code Unlimited has been working with the design team to meet compliance needs in this historical site. Areas of concern being addressed are ramped aisles and handrails as well as sloped seating and standing occupancy allowances related to floor area considerations. Our team supported the needs of the owner by working directly with the International Code Council (ICC) on an opinions confirmation and interpretation. We are working toward an occupant load alternate to support the needs of this community favorite building and the events and businesses within it as well as make sure the historical site is as accessible as possible to people of varying abilities with a few adaptations in design.
